Tax on savings abolished for low income earners from April

From the 6th of April the normal 10% rate of tax on savings in banks and business societies will be abolished for people with a total income of less than £15,600 a year. They will not pay the 10% starting rate of tax that is usually levied. This will help lower earners to save and give them increased cash flow each month.
