Mark Garnier MP met with Ed Vaizey MP, Minister of State for the Digital Economy, to highlight several rural areas around Wyre Forest which currently receiving superfast broadband. Ed promised to work with Mark to raise this issue with BT and force a positive outcome for those residents locally who deserve better.

New record low for Wyre Forest unemployment

Mark Garnier MP pleased that Wyre Forest is still benefitting from the Conservatives' long-term plan as figures released today by the Office for National Statistics show that the number of Jobseeker’s Allowance claimants in Wyre Forest in February was 851, which represents a rate of 1.8% of the economically active population. This is the lowest level in Wyre Forest since records began in 1971 and beats the constituency record set last month. 

State of the art Medical Practice opened by Lucy Allan

Lucy Allan, Telford’s Conservative Parliamentary Candidate, opened a new, cutting-edge doctor’s surgery in Malinslee, Telford. Lucy was shown around the £3.5million Malinslee Medical and Dental Practice by the owner, local GP Dr Shailendra Allen.
