Ludlow MP Philip Dunne visited Ludlow Foyer on Friday to see the brand new IT hub resource.
Ludlow Foyer has installed a state of the art IT suite and are offering lessons on basic IT skills to local people of all ages.
Mr Dunne said “I was delighted to visit Ludlow Foyer and see the excellent work they are doing to encourage basic computing skills for local people. I encourage anyone who needs access to a computer, laptop or tablet device, or who needs advice in how to use them, to drop in to one of the free sessions where experts from Shropshire Housing’s unITe team are on hand to advise.
Technology and computing skills can remove barriers to employment, social and learning opportunities, so I am glad Shropshire Housing, with support from others groups, are being so proactive with these new facilities in the Ludlow Foyer.
The use of small portable computing devices like Ludlow Inclusion Devices could also help local people without computers more easily access computing services, so I am excited to see how this project develops."
