Margot James, MP for Stourbridge, met young volunteers engaged in the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme during a reception held in Parliament. While at the reception, Margot met Isaac Bolton, a young man from Stourbridge, who has been selected as one of just 100 young people across the country to become a national ambassador for the NCS.
Margot also learnt more about the organisation, which is a three week programme that sets young people outdoor challenges and gives them skills for life and work. This year, 80,000 young people were involved with NCS.
Speaking about Isaac’s success, Margot stated; “I would like to congratulate Isaac Bolton on his success in becoming an NCS ambassador. The NCS programme provides a brilliant opportunity for young people to engage with their communities, and I am very pleased that the scheme is benefiting young people in Stourbridge.”
