The Conservative Party’s West Midlands Region marked a major milestone on 15 March 2025, as it held its first regional conference since the COVID-19 pandemic. Hosted in Birmingham, the day-long event brought together members, councillors, activists, and senior parliamentarians to create a dynamic programme of speeches, strategies, and connections.
The highlight of the day was a keynote address from Kemi Badenoch, Leader of the Conservative Party and Leader of the Opposition, who shared her vision for the country, outlined key national priorities, and reaffirmed the importance of grassroots voices in shaping the future.
Joining her were members of the Shadow Cabinet, who led a series of engaging sessions and policy discussions, allowing attendees to hear directly from those at the heart of the Party’s leadership.
Workshops focused on campaign strategy, local delivery, and effective community engagement, while lunch and networking breaks allowed members to share best practices and forge new connections. Attendee feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the energy, accessibility, and relevance of the event.
Reflecting on the conference, Arun Photay, Chairman of the West Midlands Region, said:
“It was fantastic to welcome so many of our front bench team to the West Midlands for our first regional conference since COVID. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and it was heartening to see so many of our members come together with energy, passion and purpose as we look ahead to the future.”
As the Party looks to build momentum in the months ahead, the West Midlands Regional Conference is a clear signal of renewed focus, strong leadership, and a unified vision for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
