This year, the Regional Party Conference Dinner immersed into the West Midlands Conservative Curry Club, Masala Monday. Attended by over 90 guests from across the Region and beyond, we enjoyed the fine dining experience of Pushkar, situated only 5-minute walk from the conference centre on Broad Street.
Two notable guests attended the event, Lord Daniel Hannan came along early evening to deliver a short speech on his brand of conservatism and spoke about the togetherness of the eclectic group of members in attendance, then later in the evening we were visited by one of the busiest politicians at the Conference, Mayor Andy Street came along and spoke about the importance of social events for members and his pride in the Region.
Notable attendees included past Chairmen Jim Cooper and Brian Tustain, who have supported and encouraged the Curry Club since its inception. Also on the night, our Chairman Arun Photay was joined by Jayne West from the Professional team to recognise Connect Caller extraordinaire Derrick Scott with a small gift for being the top regional caller.
The event was managed by a cross-section of volunteers, members and the Regional Team, notably Wasim, James, Manish, Imrul, Mattie and Raaj. TOGETHER was the envisaged theme for this event and we sure lived up to it – Click the link below to view photographs of the evening: https://www.flickr.com/photos/194318315@N04/albums/7217772030267535 (kindly donated by Safaraz Ali)
