Member of Parliament for Cannock Chase
Joint Conservative Party Chairman
Amanda Milling is the Member of Parliament for Cannock Chase and was born in Burton upon Trent and brought up in a nearby Staffordshire village. It is here where as a teenager she started getting involved with the Conservative Party delivering leaflets for her County Councillor.
Since graduating from University College London, Amanda has built up a successful career in market research. Specialising in financial services, Amanda has represented the views of the public in many of the leading banks and building societies.
Amanda’s father worked for local manufacturing business Britool. As a former company director herself, Amanda understands the challenges faced by businesses. Amanda wants Cannock Chase to be one of the best places to start and grow a new business, key to securing more jobs for local people.
In 2009 Amanda became a local Conservative Councillor and has been a campaign organiser for several local and national elections.
Amanda lives here in the Cannock Chase constituency in Brereton, Rugeley. Living here means that Amanda is always out and about in Cannock, Hednesford, Rugeley and our villages attending events as well as visiting residents and businesses.
When Amanda is not campaigning she can often be spotted out running, training for the next 10K run that she is entered for.
Amanda was appointed as Assistant Government Whip in January 2018.
