Kate Griffiths was elected the Conservative Member of Parliament for Burton on Trent and Uttoxexter in the General Election of December 2019, with a majority of 14,496.
"I'm a local girl, born in the constituency, and I have lived here all my life. Before being elected as MP, I worked locally, at Burton Albion FC, and my daughter was born at Queen's Hospital.
I know the constituency well and am very proud to have the opportunity to represent Burton and Uttoxeter as your Member of Parliament.
As a working single mum, I understand life can sometimes be quite tough and that everyone needs a helping hand from time-to-time.
We all know that politics, both nationally and locally, has become quite unpleasant over recent years. I am not a career politician and I want to make a difference locally. My priority will always be to serve local people rather than to score political points.
Whoever you are and whatever your political views, my door will always be open to you to help resolve your problems and to be a voice for you and other local people in Westminster"
